Beifu Nanshan China professional wear Research Institute, founded in 2011, is the first professional research institution in the field of professional wear cooperated by schools and enterprises in China. Based on Beijing Institute of fashion and Shandong Nanshan Zhishang Technology Co., Ltd., the Institute is based on the professional clothing industry and serves the whole society. Aiming at China's professional wear industry and market, the research institute mainly carries out professional wear culture research, professional wear design research and development and high-quality design services, professional wear material library construction, professional wear standard research and professional wear talent training. It aims to improve the theoretical research level of China's professional wear, build a relatively complete and systematic professional wear culture system, promote the specialization and branding process of the professional wear industry, call for the formulation of professional wear industry standards and promote the popularization of workplace clothing culture.

In March 2013, the design team of the research institute won the gold medal in the professional dress design competition of the 9th (Beijing) International Garden Expo in 2013. On November 10, 2014, the APEC meeting was held in Beijing. The women leaders' clothes designed by the research institute stood out among more than 1000 design works in China, appeared at the water cube dinner and won high attention and praise from the society.
